I’ve loved this quote since I first saw the film Dean Spanley when I was in college. I think it relates to a lot of different things in life - it’s important to always strive to continue growing and learning as a person. In my job as a video editor, technology is always developing and changing so I’ve endeavored to keep an open mind and never consider myself an expert on anything, since there’s always more to learn. In the past few years, I’ve taught myself to use After Effects through YouTube tutorials so I could create graphics and small animations at work. Despite this, I always felt self-conscious about my abilities, so I decided to sign up for a course in After Effects to further my skills and learn more about the program, and I’m so glad I did! Here are some of the projects from the course that I’m proud of. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn more and continue to explore animation.
